Financial Services purchasing is different and very specialist. Investment Banks, as an example, often seek commodity specialists that have brokerage experience; clients from the Insurance Sector often seek specialists with claims purchasing experience and Legal Firms often seek specialists with reprographic and marketing experience. Our team understands the different cultures.
We focus on middle to senior positions, enabling our research team to concentrate solely on delivering the best solutions to our clients' requirements. We believe we find the best candidates and our candidates consistently succeed. We have developed a set of tools to help us measure both the technical skills and the soft skills to ensure we recommend the most able candidates when we are conducting a search. This forms the basis of our interview programme. We often source candidates from other sectors and it is important to ensure the cultural alignment fits the financial services sector where soft skills are very important. Candidates could come from the automotive, manufacturing and FMCG sectors.
What separates us from others is the experience of our team. Kim and Jonathan have both held senior positions within the sector and offer post-recruitment mentoring to the successful candidates as a value added extra. Iain Gilmour has some twenty years recruitment experience in the financial services purchasing profession and is a Member of the CIPS. Iain handles both search and selection assignments. A keen speaker and contributor to purchasing recruitment issues, his particular interests lie in Purchasing trends, competency profiling and business development.
Kim Godwin has over twenty years experience at an executive level in purchasing and supply, having headed up the function in blue chip organisations in manufacturing, FMCG, electronics and financial services sectors. Kim is a Fellow and Past President of the CIPS. He handles search and recruitment assignments, and has particular expertise in the evaluation and development of both technical and 'soft' skills.
Jonathan Rollason has had over twenty years purchasing experience in the City and his career has included MD of a US Investment bank, Head of Corporate Client Services for a Japanese investment bank and Head of Purchasing for one of the City's leading institutional firms. Jonathan's other experience includes work for a leading UK insurer and work for a leading high street bank. Jonathan is a Past President of CIPS. Jonathan handles search and recruitment assignments.
Shirley Lewington is a graduate and associate of CIPS. Shirley is an excellent coach and is often involved in assessment and team building programmes introducing 'best practice' to improve purchasing performance in international organisations. Shirley is involved in coaching and search and selection assignments.
